The nearest public cycle parking is on East Street directly in front of YMCA Leicestershire, or across the road at the train station. There are dedicated cycle lanes down London Road and Lancaster Road making it even safer to travel by bike.

I can no longer attend the show I have booked for, can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable except when a show is cancelled or changed. We offer refund protection at the time of booking that enables you to get a full refund should you or anyone in your party be unable to attend due to injury, illness, adverse weather, vehicle breakdown, and many other unforeseen instances.

Do you offer group discounts?

Group discount rates are available but can differ between shows so please contact box office to enquire about a particular event.

COVID-19 – Will I have to wear a face covering?

Whilst the wearing of masks is no longer mandatory, we encourage our audiences to exercise caution.

COVID-19 – How often is the theatre cleaned?

The theatre is cleaned thoroughly before and after each performance and regular cleaning of high-contact points takes place throughout the day.

The seats I wish to purchase online are available but the system won’t let me book them?

This will either be because you are trying to book seats reserved for customers with access needs (coloured bright blue) or because you are attempting to leave a single seat next to the seats you are trying to book. If you need to book access seats, please contact box office or see the access page of our website to find out about our access scheme and booking online. If your booking leaves a single seat we ask that you select different seats. This is in place so we can better support artists by ensuring their shows are as fully attended as possible. If you are unable to find a suitable alternative, please contact the Box Office who will help you to complete your booking.

I can’t find my email confirmation or e-tickets, what should I do?

There are several possible reasons why you may not have received these. Please check your spam or junk mail folder as they may have accidentally been filed there. If your tickets are in your spam or junk mail folder, you can save our email address to your Safe Sender List. This will then stop future emails going to your spam or junk mail. If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours, please contact the Box Office. We recommend that you have access to your emails during the call as we may ask you to check that the email has been received. We also send out a reminder email 3 days prior to the event and this has another link to your tickets on them so don’t worry!

Do I need to print my e-tickets?

No, if you have a smart phone you can show the tickets on there rather than printing them out. You are still welcome to print them if you prefer.

Do you accept Theatre Tokens?

Yes we do! Please contact Box Office to redeem them for your tickets as this is currently not available online.

Are concessions available on all shows?

All available concessions for a show are listed on each individual show page.

Can I bring food and drink into the show?

The Theatre Bar sells a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits, hot and soft drinks as well as snacks that are allowed into the auditorium. Glassware is allowed for seated shows, with drinks being decanted into our reusable plastic cups for standing gigs. You cannot consume alcohol purchased elsewhere while in the building due to licensing regulations.

Will there be a cloakroom available?

We do not offer a cloakroom facility. We politely ask that you keep bags to a minimum and only bring essential items with you during your visit.

What happens if I’m late for the start of the performance?

While we do not want you to miss any of the performance there maybe restrictions on when you can enter a performance once the lights have gone down. Allowing customers to enter during the performance is not only disruptive for the performers as the light and sound of the bar spills into the space, but finding and accessing your seat can be very disruptive for other customers and potentially hazardous for you. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before the performance start time to ensure you have a comfortable journey through the venue.

Are there hotels nearby?

There are a wide choice of hotels within a ten minute walk of the venue including Premier Inn Leicester City Centre, Travelodge Leicester City Centre, The Belmont Hotel, ibis Leicester City Centre and The Gresham Aparthotel (Enter the code YTHEATRE for a discount on your stay with your show ticket). A full list of hotels nearby can be viewed by searching on Google Maps.

For family shows, will my child need a ticket?

Children aged 18 months and older will require a ticket unless stated otherwise for a specific show. This can vary from show to show so we recommend that you check the information on the show page or contact our box office before making a booking.
